Sub expectations. Has not assisted career. Lecturers were enthusiastic but work was not based in current theatre practices.
I have worked in music theatre, film, stage and television for 40 years and was seeking Recognition of work. Applied for and received RPL for all but one subject. I passed the year but did not add anything to my extensive theatre knowledge. The teachers were dedicated to their courses but, as most of their experience continues to be 'in-house' I found it to not be in line with current practises in theatre. Hopefully, now I can continue on to higher levels of education and be challenged accordingly.
