Being a planner I tried to have some idea in the water sector which shapes the environment as well as land. In addition seeking knowledge to an extremely different culture may guide me to way for solving planning problems.

both informative and inspiring
i always believe in studing a subject that you have a interest in , rather than one you feel you might develop an interest in , as a mature student i was able to make informed choices about what i wanted to do long term, i aslo advised my children to do what they liked doing , if your going to do it for 60 years do something you believe in.

A Mixed Bag
Queens is a good university, and has a very strong support network for the students who study there, in terms of careers and student guidance, but the level of teaching really varies and fluctuates in a bad way. Also it lacks a bit of tradition that makes other universities special, and unfortunately while queens is a good institution it isn't special.
The amount learnt from the course depends upon the professor, and the level of teaching varies highly, with some great passionate teachers and some not so passionate or helpful
Very poor, Feedback for essays and exams is an arduous process.
The course is varied and allows a lot of room for personal choice and interest due to the large amount of personal choice with modules.
Lots of resources at Queen's library very useful indeed.
Library at Queen's first class, as well as lots of different learning tools within the course as well, e.g. powerpoint
